IMPROVED PA
The committee has approved the purchase of 2 new stage monitors, which we be purchasing in time for the next gig. Next we will be needing a pan teck for all the gear and flying guest artists in by chopper.
2010 FESTIVAL
The Festival planning is going full steam ahead. We have had over 20 performers express an interest in playing so far. Emails have been coming in from as far as Melbourne - and we have one artist from Canada who has said she would like to play at Coast Acoustics as part of her Australian Tour.
If you would like to put in an expression of interest or you know of any good bands for the festival please fill in the EIO and send it and a one page bio to PO Box 6946 Gold Coast Mail Centre Q9726 ASAP.
We have also recieved letters of support for the festival from Cr Bob LaCastra and the Gold Coast Music Industry Asociation.

NEXT SUNDAY SOCIAL
February 21 sees Cloudstreet featuring hot
harmonies & beautiful ballads. John and Nicole's
performances are packed with vitality, humour and excitement,
as they breathe new life into some of the great songs of the
Australian, English and Celtic traditions and carry the
tradition forward with original songs and tunes. Driving
guitar and Irish flute support their enthralling
vocals. Their trademark dazzling harmonies and their
impassioned presentation are leavened with humour and great
tales from their travels.
Cloudstreet

"Jay 'n Doll" aka. Jay and Carole Jacobs, is a duet made up of a Texan and a Queenslander. They are mostly Traditional Country & Western with a little bit of Blues/Folk. Jay, born into a Texas country music family, played in his dad's band from a young age and Carole developed her love of country music from living in Texas for twenty-one years. As songwriters they have been working on their album for the past two years, traveling to Nashville in 2008, and 2009 with post-recording tours of some of Texas' Oprys. They will be back in Nashville in March to finish recording their CD of originals and a few covers. In April they will again tour the Texas Opry Circuit which includes Wiley Opry, Gladewater Opry, Cross Timbers Opry and Cowtown Opry. At home in Queensland, they perform for Club Socials, cafes, festivals and fundraisers.
